Only cargo transported by means of transport or equipment that meets the applicable technical requirements for transporting goods is insured. It is possible to conclude either a single cargo insurance contract, i.e. an individual policy, or a long-term contract, i.e. an open policy for transporting several cargoes. Such a policy is usually concluded for one year.
Cargo insurance compensates for damage caused by cargo caused by, for example: robbery, fire, traffic accident, natural disaster, etc.
It is possible to insure against all risks or some specific risks. The insurance contract is concluded in accordance with the clauses developed by the internationally recognized Institute of London Underwriters (Institute Cargo Clauses – ICC).
